Three days Inter-collegiate fest 'MRIDANG' 2020 was organized by R.R.E.T's B.Ed college and Vakratund Institute of Hospitality services on 5th, 6th and 7th of February 2020.

Faculty Development Programme on Nai Talim-2019

R.R. Educational Trust's College of Education and Research, organized 5 - Days Faculty Development Programme on Nai Talim: Experiential Learning in collaboration with MGNCRE from 19th to 23rd August 2019. In the Program Dr Sunita Magre, Chairpeson, Board of Studies (Education) University of Mumbai was the Chief Guest, Shri Prabhakar Banala Sir was the resource person, The members of Board of Studies, Education, University of Mumbai -Dr Swarnalata Harichandan, Principal, H.B.B.Ed college, Dr Reni Francis, Principal, Pillai College of Education and Research, Chembur. Dr Frances Vaidya were invited as Guest of Honour. Dr Sunita Londhe, Principal, Vispute College, Dr Ratani Thakur, Principal, Oriental College, Sanpada and Dr Snigdha Pradhan, Principal, S.K B.Ed College were invited as Special Guests.

Teacher Educators from various college participated in the said Programme.
This Programme gave a panoramic view of the concept of Nai Talim.

Mridang-2019

Three days Inter-collegiate fest 'MRIDANG' 2019 was organized by R.R.E.T's B.Ed college and Vakratund Institute of Hospitality services on 31st Jan, 1st and 2nd February 2019.

During these three days events like Box Cricket, Tug of War , Carrom, Bade Miya, Game of Shakuni, Le panga(kabaddi), PUBG, mehndi, nail art, rangoli, best out of waste, solo singing, solo dance, group dance, fashion show and Mr. & Miss Mridang were conducted in which more than 1500 participants from different colleges across Mumbai , Thane and Navi Mumbai participated .

Mridang-2018

“A never ending story…."
Mridang Fest held on 22, 23, 24 February 2018, was a symphony of music, art and zest. Our chief guest Dr. Sunita Magre Head of the Education department, University of Mumbai inaugurated the programme. Colleges from all over Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Thane had participated in the fest. More than 1200 students were witnessed taking part in various activities held during the fest. Celebrities namely Vaibhav Gughe (Choreographer), Ekta Maru (Model), Rishubh Raj (Singer) and Anand Menon (Music Director), Shri Charanjit Singh Sapra (Ex MLA), Mrs. Sheela Prabhu (Manager of Syndicate Bank, Mulund, west) graced the occasion with their presence for valedictory programme.

Inauguration of B.Ed session 2017-18

(“The only joy in the world is to begin”)
The freshers of academic session 2017-19 were welcomed with a positive ambience on 3rd November 2017, in the presence of our Management, Advisor and our Principal. They were guided by B.Ed. faculty regarding the theoretical and practical aspects of the two-year B.Ed. course followed by snacks. It was nice to see the new faces, the future student teachers.

State Level Workshop

“Tell me and I forget.Teach me and I remember.Involve me and I learn.”
A workshop on 11th November 2017 was organized by R.R.E.T’S B.Ed. college for teachers, on the theme “Hands on Minds on” having a tag line “A single lane highway does not work anymore” This session enriched the participants with new and innovative techniques of teaching.

Community service

“No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wastes.”
Active community service is at the heart of educational process at R.R.E.T’S B.Ed college. As a part of our curriculum our students served the society by planting trees, plants and shrubs. They also had a cleanliness drive to spread an awareness “Cleanliness is next to Godliness” They went to slum areas to for “Go to school awareness” This drive was from- 8th to 12th January 2018.

Talk

“Great minds discuss ideas.”
To create an awareness about the ill effects of Cyber-crime and cyber bullying R.R.E.T’S B.Ed college had organized a talk on “Being Responsible Netizens” on 4th August 2017 by Unmesh Joshi a resource person from Ahaan Foundation.

Drawing Competition

“Drawing is a vision on paper.”
Mulund Charitable Trust and R.R.E.T’S B.Ed college in collaboration had organized an inter-collegiate drawing competition for school students. Various schools had participated in the competition to showcase their passion for drawing and art.

Club Activities

“Through activities children learn how to learn.”
Education is pretty broad concept that surpasses the four walls of a classroom. During our pedagogy lectures, periodically we organize various club activities in each pedagogy. To avoid boredom and prepare students in the art of living and working together, club activities are of supreme importance.

Art and Craft workshop

“Creativity takes courage.”
As the part of B.Ed curriculum Drama and Art in Education is an Audit Course-1. Under this course we organize various workshops on art and craft where our students learn to make and create various articles like pen stand, jewellery, applique work, block print, making of idols from shilpkar, decorative cover pages and many more…. These workshops were organized periodically: on 15th, 16th January 2018, 9th, 10th, 24th April 2018.

Annual Day forms an integral part of any institutes activities. R.R.E.T’S B.Ed college had organized the annual day on 23rd December 2017. This day was a day of celebration, felicitation, feast and festivity where students showcased their talents with great zeal and enthusiasm.
